I’m a native Dubliner and have lived in America’s capital since late 2011. I am currently senior editor at the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), a global nonprofit tackling the climate crisis through a focus on clean energy.
I previously worked as a staff writer at Foreign Policy Magazine and wrote Morning Brief (now World Brief), the publication’s flagship newsletter.
Before that I worked on digital and media outreach at CSIS, where I also hosted its podcast.
The bulk of my writing can be found here. For a selection of my work at Foreign Policy, please see here.
I have also written about Ireland’s interests in US immigration reform for Splinter, the bureaucratic maze of the US immigration system for The Outline, the challenges facing the Uighur community in Washington, DC for DCist and how unions can help stem jihadism for The New Republic.
